This course provides a student with an understanding of the regulatory framework governing the Australian financial services industry and possesses basic financial planning skills in investment advice, investment strategies, superannuation, income taxation, retirement benefits and estate planning. 

Entry Requirements
Successful completion of a Bachelor degree, or
an Advanced Diploma, or equivalent with relevant working experience
Minimum IELTS of 6.0 or equivalent (international student)

Qualification Core Units

Provide complex financial planning advice
Develop advanced estate and superannuation plans
Provide investment advice
Design tax minimisation plans

1 year full time study

Learning Methodology

Synchronous Distance Delivery:
AIBT Synchronous Distance Delivery is the learning in real time with the trainer, tutor at the helm of the room leading the discussion, encouraging active participation in the learning  materials. The delivery is through online virtual classroom, so students can expect the same high quality learning received through face to face onsite.

Online lectures, tutorials and support sessions 

Face-to-face lectures, tutorials and support sessions; a mix of projects, written assessments, reports and presentations 

Student Card
Students who enrol for the four units to be undertaken over a 12 month period are eligible for a Student Card indicating they are a full time student of AIBT. 


This course may be subsidised by the SA Government for eligible participants.
